|This site is for all with an interest in helicopters, their preservation
and their history, but especially for the members of The Friends of The Helicopter Museum.
The Museum is situated at Weston-super-Mare, not far from Bristol, in the beautiful South
West of England.
If you're not yet a member of the Friends we hope that you too will explore the site and, if you like what you see, apply to join today.
As part of the UK book launch of "Rescue Pilot", author Jerry Grayson, the
most decorated Search and Rescue pilot in history, will be performing a
special book signing at the Helicopter Museum, from 10.00 am until 1.00
pm on Sunday 29th
March, as part of the Whirly Birds event.
The book includes a Foreword by HRH The Duke of York, Prince Andrew, Commodore-in-Chief, Fleet Air Arm.
|Who are the Friends ? .......... What do they do ?|
|The Friends were established in 1997 following re-organisation of an earlier membership scheme. They aim to provide financial and other support for The Helicopter Museum, with opportunities for members to be actively involved. About 50% of subscriptions pass to The Museum with the remainder being used to purchase specific items for the Museum and to develop the Friends organisation.|
Friends Membershipgives these benefits:
1. Free access to The Museum during normal opening
If you would like to join the Friends you should click on Apply to Join, print and complete the form displayed and send it to the address provided.
