The Museum has over 70 exhibits, all under cover, and a recently-extended friendly café which
serves Morning Coffee, Light Lunches and Afternoon Teas with home made
cakes.
The Museum Shop (HeliWorld) sells the largest range of Helicopter oriented books, magazines, models, model kits, toys and souvenirs in the UK. There is also a a helicopter-themed Outdoor Play area for the under 12s, adjacent to the Picnic Area and the Sue Cullum Toy Helicopter Collection. On Open Cockpit Days (normally, but not always, the second Sunday in each month) our experienced and dedicated volunteers will be in The Museum's main hangar to talk to visitors and answer questions about the stunning collection of Helicopters. The Helicopter Museum is 5 minutes from Junction 21 of
the M5 and is open Wednesday to Sunday all year, 10.00 am - 5.30 pm (10.00 am - 4.30 pm
November to end of March), except that it is CLOSED on Christmas Day, Boxing Day
and New Years Day. Open daily throughout the summer
school holidays, to the end of August. |

The popular monthly "Pub Nights" for Members and Museum Volunteers are from 8.30 pm on the 3rd Tuesday of every month. Details of current location from Dave Wallace on 01934-823312. A visit to the airfields at Henstridge
(near Yeovilton) and Compton Abbas (between Blandford Forum and
Salisbury) was being planned for 2010. Queries and expressions of interest, to our Chairman, please,
