"Helicopter Experience Flights"
*All Experience Flights are dependent on the weather and may be cancelled at short notice. If you have booked a Flight you are strongly advised to phone the Museum, on 01934-635227, before starting your journey.

The inclusive cost of admission to The Museum and a 7-minute Helicopter Experience Flight, in 2020, is £50.00 for adults, with reductions for Senior Citizens, Students and Children.

The Museum has published a 12-page booklet, compiled by Elfan ap Rees, which is designed for members of the public who are taking their first helicopter flight or are thinking of doing so. Simple drawings explain how helicopters work and why they are much safer than many people think. The booklet will be issued free of charge to passengers who book Museum Experience Flights. It is also being sold at the Museum bookshop and is available by mail order at £1.25. Bulk orders are available to other operators and training schools.

Facilities and Opening Times

The Museum, with FREE on-site car-parking, has over 80 exhibits, all under cover, and a café, within the main hangar, which is temporarily closed while the construction of a new visitor entrance and facilities building is in progress.

Museum admission charges in 2020 are £7.50 for adults and £4.50 for children (4-15) with reductions for students, seniors and family groups.

The Museum Shop (HeliWorld) sells the largest range of Helicopter oriented books, magazines, models, model kits, toys, clothing and souvenirs in the UK.

On Open Cockpit Days our experienced and dedicated volunteers will be in The Museum's main hangar to talk to visitors and answer questions about the stunning collection of Helicopters. (See dates above.)

The Helicopter Museum is 5 minutes from Junction 21 of the M5 motorway and is open Wednesday to Sunday all year, plus Bank Holidays, 10.00 am - 5.30 pm (10.00 am - 4.30 pm with last entry at 3.30 pm - 1st November to 30th March), except that it is closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.

Open daily throughout the Easter and Summer School Holidays.

Group discounts and free guided tours are available. Free parking. The Café and shop are open to non-visitors to the Museum.

Please phone (01934)635227 or email helimuseum@btconnect.com for more information about Opening Hours, Experience Flights, Open Cockpit Days and Special Events.

The Helicopter Museum is a registered charity with much of the work being carried out by volunteers. It receives no local or government subsidies, relying on visitor revenue, volunteer support and donations to cover its costs and overheads.
