Three Army Historic Aircraft
Flight helicopters, from the Army Air Corps base at Middle Wallop in Hampshire, touched down on Beach Lawns on Friday July 27th. They were
(above left to right) Agusta Bell Sioux AH.1, XT131, Westland Scout
AH.1, XT626, stirring up a quantity of sand and dust as it
hover-taxied into its display position and Sud Aviation Alouette
II, XR379.
In 1957, fifty years ago, the new Army Air Corps came into being, with
its headquarters at Middle Wallop. |

| Weston Helidays can always rely on
hosting an interesting selection of Robinson helicopters. Among those
attending in 2007 were two of the R44 Clipper IIs from EBG Helicopters
of Redhill, G-PGGY (above left) and G-PAMY (above centre).
Also seen was R22 Beta, G-WIZA, from Cranfield (above right). |
